She graduated cum laude from McKendree University in 2010 and attended Southern Illinois University School of Law, graduating in May of 2013. In October of 2013, Katherine was admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois. Following licensure, Katherine has been admitted to practice in the Southern District of Illinois, Eastern District of Missouri, and Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
